Mrs. Patricia Ann Brown

Patricia Lane Brown, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away at her home after a long illness, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Lexington to Ike Lane Jr. and Francis Cooley- Ross, Patricia lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others. She was a proud graduate of Dunbar High School, Class of 1967, and went on to attend Eastern Kentucky University. Patricia dedicated many years of her professional life to serving the Kentucky Clinic South, retiring from a supervisory administrative role where she was respected for her leadership, organization, and commitment. A woman of deep faith, Patricia was an active and devoted member of the Historic Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church, where she found great joy in worship, fellowship, and serving her church family. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society, cherishing the friendships and sisterhood it brought into her life. Patricia will be lovingly remembered for her warm spirit, her gift of hospitality, and the way she made everyone feel at home. She found her greatest joy in her family and in hosting gatherings filled with laughter, love, and her unforgettable cooking. She was especially known for her “world-famous” baked beans and banana pudding—dishes that became a cherished tradition for all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Lewis Brown; her son, Mark (Ladonna) Lane, grandson, Dominque Lane; grand daughters, Kiyah, Emony, Roszlyn, Adrianna and her beloved bonus children, Lewis Jr.(Dawn) Brown, James (Charmayne) Brown, Reuben (Tedra) Brown, Timothy (Tamicha) Brown, Adam Brown, Daniel Brown and Rebecca Brown. And beloved bonus grandchildren, Brittany, Desirae, Carmen, James Jr., Maya, Tremaine, Xzavier, Zhyon, Taylor, Ruby, Gary, Josiah, Aiden, Elijah, Arionna, Reagan, JaKobe. She also leaves behind a host of extended family members, dear friends, and all who were blessed to know and love her. Patricia’s legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ike Lane Jr. and Francis Cherry. Her brother, Melvin Washington. She is survived by her siblings James (Wanda) Washington, Clarence (Simone) Lane, Marvin Washington, Ava Noble, Terry (Heather) Cherry, Sharon (Shane)Hayden, Eric (Lek) Lane, Thomas Waide, Samantha White, Ella (Edward) Bell. Aunts, Betsy Newsome and Mattie James. Uncle, Harvey Cloyd. Sister friends, Harriet Broadus, Darlene Pope. And a host of nieces and nephews.
