Elecy Lady Mamie Elizabeth Liza Nelson Mabson Holloman

Elect Lady Mamie Elizabeth Liza Nelson Mabson-Holloman was born March 7, 1924, to the late Benjamin and Madge Mabson. She departed this life on May 13, 2023, a peaceful Sabbath Afternoon. She was educated in the Fayette County Public School System. She was united in marriage to the late James Henry Holloman. They had five children together, Eugene (Diane), James B. Sr. (Gwen), Nathaniel, Dolores, and Odessa. Along with her natural children, she also adopted as her own, Edward (Yvonne) Jointer, Ruth (Edward) Rawlings, Apostle James (Patricia) Thomas, Jr., and Deacon James Brown, all of whom loved and spoiled her until she departed. From Cincinnati, Ohio, Lady Holloman came to the House of God when it was under the leadership of then Elder (Bishop) S.P. Rawlings, over 75 years ago. She remained a most faithful member through the tenure of Bishop Rawlings and his successor, Chief Apostle Thomas E. Clark, Jr., until her death. She was a National and Local Prayer Warrior. It was during such praying that she gave birth to her second son, James Bennie, while on her knees. Mamie was a cherished Elect Lady in the House of God. She served on the Usher Board, Sabbath School Secretary, Mothers Board, Bishops Willing Workers, Women in the Army of Christ and the Kitchen Staff. She would also house many of the saints during the conventions. Lady Holloman was well known for her gentle spirit and kind nature. To know her was to absolutely adore her. You knew that the love she showed you was genuine and from the heart. Everywhere she went, she touched the lives of those around her. In return, throughout her life, she was showered with that same love and affection by all who encountered her. And even if she didn’t know you personally, she would show you that same God given loving spirit. You knew you were especially loved when she called you “Puddin'.” Although her passing has left a bruise on our hearts, her legacy of trulyunconditional love will continue to burn brightly in all of us. Let us continue the Godly example she has set before us and continue to be a light unto others such as she was throughout our lives. Lady Holloman was our last Matriarch and her passing brought to a close a magnificent generation of the Mabson Family. She was predeceased by her husband, James Henry Holloman. She was also preceded in death by all nine of her siblings, William Mabson, Sr., Benjamin (Amanda) Mabson, James Mabson, Sr., Oliver (Valtza) Mabson, Sr., Roy ( Julia) Mabson, Sr., Hattie Wright (Johnson), Rosella (Jesse)(West), Ernestine (Harry) Blue (Morrison) and Helen (E.B.) Taylor. Also preceding her was one son, Eugene; an adopted son, Edward; a grandson, Andrew Webb; a great-great-grandson, Jolon Wilkerson; and in-laws, Barbara Jean (Alfred) Cephus, Andrew Holloman, Ben (Ann) Holloman and Pete Holloman. She leaves to cherish her memory, five generations of children and grandchildren, including a special grandson, Solomon M. Holloman; sister-in-law, Francis Mabson; and her entire Mabson, Holloman and House of God church family. She will be missed beyond measure.
