Mr Arsenio Richard Jackson Jr

With profound sadness, we acknowledge the passing of Arsenio Jackson, Jr., 16, a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. A native of Lexington, Arsenio’s life was tragically cut short due to senseless gun violence, leaving a void that can never be filled. Arsenio, affectionately known as “Ceno” and “Jr,” was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. A junior at Henry Clay High School, he was well-loved by his teachers, classmates, and friends. His warm smile and kind spirit made him a friend to all, and he had a gift for making those around him feel welcomed. Ceno was Christened at Greater Liberty Baptist Church, where later in life he professed his hope in Christ. A passionate football player, Ceno’s love for the game started early with the Bearcats and Ravens little league teams and continued into his teenage years with the Frederick Douglass Broncos. His dedication and enthusiasm for the sport was reflected in his determined and energetic nature. Off the field, Ceno was the heart of his home, embracing his role as a big brother with pride—whether that meant protecting, teasing, or simply being there for his younger siblings. His parents’ homes were always filled with laughter and friendship, as he naturally brought people together. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Sidney Jackson, Sr. and Earl Lee Caldwell; Kentucky great-grandfather, Terry Smyer; his grandmother, Delores Caldwell; his uncle, James Townes; and his cousin, Lazeric Givens. Arsenio is survived by his loving parents, Ieisha Cofield and Arsenio Jackson, Sr.; his five devoted siblings, Siyuri Jackson, Riteous Giles, Jay’Myla Taylor, Asahd Jackson, and Azair Jackson; grandmothers, Mary Caldwell, Bernadine Givens and Kentucky great-grandmother, Edith Smyer; grandfather, James Cofield; and God-mother, Shakira Williams. He also leaves behind a host of aunts and uncles who cherished him dearly, Kirbye (Kayla) Caldwell, Shawn Caldwell, Tràvon Caldwell, Tyesha Caldwell, Kimberly (Larry) Smith-Taylor, Shawn Smith, Quadier Cofield-White, LaTrell Sherman, LaTisha Webb, Marquis (Tamiko) Hale, Tiffany (Jason) Barbour, Dontae (Christie) Barbour, Kissan Maxberry, Lewis Givens, Jaleesa Jackson, and Sharina (Kenneth) Colvin; a special great-aunt, Adele Givens; and a special uncle, Maurice Davis. Arsenio was deeply loved by his many cousins, including his special cousins Shaunice Blandin, Dejion McGhee, Talana Young, Tonisha Palmer, and Quamirah McGhee as well as his 46 cousins, a host of extended family members, and countless friends, including special friends, Trinity Willis, Leon Lewis, and Darreon Johnson. Arsenio’s passing is a heartbreaking reminder of the fragility of life, but his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched. His infectious laughter, unwavering kindness, and love for family and friends will never be forgotten. Though he was taken too soon, his legacy of love and joy remains
