Mrs. Patricia Rose "Trici" Weather Evans

March 13, 1955 - August 11, 2021

Patricia Rose Weathers Evans was born on March 13, 1955, in Lebanon, Kentucky, to the late James and Minnie Weathers. Patricia passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at the University of Kentucky’s Chandler Hospital at the age of 66. Affectionately known as "Trici," she was the ninth child born of eighteen. The Weathers Family moved to Lexington in 1973, where she continued to reside until the mid-1980s. Patricia was a devoted wife, loving and caring mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was married to the late Sammie Evans, Jr. for 39 years until his passing in 2017, and from this union they were blessed with four children. Patricia was loved by everyone she met in her life. You could always count on Patricia to brighten up your day. She always thought of putting others before herself. She loved to draw, cook and spend time with her family. Besides her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Weathers, and a sister, Kathryn Louise Weathers. Patricia is survived by her four loving children, Maurisa Evans Young, Julius Evans, Monette Evans and Junonne Evans; thirteen grandchildren, Latesika, Albert, Alrenzo, Choyce, Raina, Rayana, Kayla, Jamaya, Anthony, Xavier, Howard, William and Gabriel; seven sisters, Sara, Gloria, Frances Osley, Angela (Darwin) Wilson, Genel (Solomon) Asafaw, Cecelia (Maeceo) Dickey and Karen; eight brothers, Patrick, Curtis (Gayle), Felix (Dorcas), Marion, Charles, Joseph, Kevin and Kenneth (Linda) Weathers; a sister-in-law, Gertie Richardson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Today we celebrate the homegoing of Patricia, so we ask everyone not to be saddened, but to celebrate her life, because she is in a better place and free of all the pain and suffering that this world has to offer.
