Mrs. Ollie Belle Hamilton Raglin

Ollie Belle Hamilton Raglin, 83, of Midway, Kentucky, entered eternal rest peacefully on March 20, 2026, following a long and courageous illness. She was born on August 23, 1942, to the late Willie Mack and Henrietta Brooks Hamilton. A proud graduate of Douglas High School in Lexington, Kentucky, Ollie carried throughout her life the values of faith, resilience, and grace that would define her legacy. At an early age, she confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and began her faithful walk with Him at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Midway, Kentucky. Her devotion to Christ remained steadfast throughout her life, guiding her service, her leadership, and her love for others. On March 16, 1962, she was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Floyd B. Raglin. Their 64-year union was a beautiful testament to enduring love, partnership, and faith. As a devoted Pastor’s wife and “First Lady,” Ollie served faithfully alongside her husband in ministry at Macedonia Baptist Church in Blackbridge, Nicholasville, Kentucky; First Baptist Church in Hazard, Kentucky; and First Baptist Church in Stanford, Kentucky. In each congregation, she exemplified grace, humility, and strength, leaving a lasting impression on all who were blessed to know her. Her commitment to the church extended far beyond her role as First Lady. She served diligently on numerous committees and auxiliary boards and held leadership roles that reflected her passion for ministry and service. Notably, she served as President of the Baptist Ministers Wives and Widows Council from 1973 to 1974, as well as President of the Women’s Auxiliary in both the Consolidated and South Districts of the General Association of Baptist in Kentucky. . Her life was a living example of servant leadership and unwavering dedication to God’s work. Ollie found joy in the simple blessings of life. She had a deep love for flowers and gardening and took great pride in maintaining a warm and welcoming home. She delighted in stopping at garage sales, walking barefoot in the grass in her yard, and spending peaceful moments on her porch reading cookbooks and magazines. She also cherished traveling, with one of her most treasured experiences being her visit to Jerusalem. Above all, she loved her family wholeheartedly and found her greatest joy in their presence. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her siblings, William (Connie) Hamilton, Mary (Ben) Raglin, Robert Hamilton, and Thelma Jean Mulder; and her son-in-law, Eric M. Cruse. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving husband, Floyd B. Raglin; her children, Ponice Cruse and Keith (Candace) Raglin; and her cherished grandchildren, Octavia Cruse, Eric S. (Nya) Cruse, Michael Cruse, Indya (Walter) Bailey, Brooke Raglin, and Kennedy Raglin. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Jaidah Spaulding, Mariah Everette, Breyonnah Everette, Jayce Cruse, Karter Cruse, Mason Cruse, and Noah Cruse who brought her immense joy. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters-in-law, Anna Raglin, Elfreda Raglin, and Eunice Hamilton; her brother-in-law, C.B. Mulder; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Her life was a testament to faith, love, and service. She will be remembered for her sassy spirit, her steadfast devotion to God, and the profound love she shared with all who knew her. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched.
