Mr. Malcolm Clay

Malcolm Xavier Clay was born in Lexington Ky on October 21st, 1989, to Markita Christopher and Eldrico Clay. On January 20th, 2026, he found his peace in GOD’s loving arms. Malcolm was baptized at First Baptist Church, Georgetown KY as a young child. Malcolm graduated from Scott County High School in 2008. Malcolm played Varsity football all four years. He left his mark on the field and gave his all every game. He scored many touchdowns on his first runs down the field as soon as the game started. He was ranked #25 in the state. He loved football so much. Malcolm was born with a special light inside him, to those of us that really knew him, we could see it shine. The memories of the pool, the park, playing outside, the movies, they were special indeed with his siblings and cousins. His brothers and cousins oh how they loved the WWF and loved to mimic the wrestlers. Such wonderful memories made to last a lifetime. Malcolm loved and cared for his family genuinely. He would defend them whenever they needed, and his siblings did the same for him. He loved them so much. Malcolm was an avid lover of music. Known as “Scrap” by his friends, he was always singing/rapping and smiling with each word that he said. Malcolm will be missed very much, that beautiful face and smile will forever live in our hearts and mind. A life gone too soon, a heart that will be missed with every sunrise and sunset. GOD’S child has gone home with no more lasting pain. He is forever healed, forever loved and forever in peace. Malcolm was preceded in death by his Great Grandmother Margaret (MOG) Reed, Grandmothers Dorothy (Da’sue) Reed and Joyce Clay, and Grandfather, Troy Marks. He leaves to mourn his passing his parents Markita Christopher and Eldrico (Crystal) Clay. His Children: Xavier Clay & NaKynnah Clay. His Grandfather Calvin Christopher, His Loving Great Aunt Vickie Reed, and Aunt LaShonda Fox. Siblings: Dominique (Diana), Macklin (Boo-Boo), Mykila, Jerel, LaTonya, Amari, Taylor, and Carys. A special love Camille Overstreet, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones. The Family would like to thank all those who have called, texted, prayed, loved and thought of us during this time. We would also like to thank the University of KY hospital, the doctors & nurses.
