Mr. Brandon Lee Garner

Brandon Lee Garner was born September 18, 1975 and departed this life unexpectedly on March 6, 2023. He was born to Carolyn Garner and Daniel Napier. He was a loving father to his daughters whom he cherished dearly and simply adored his twin grandsons who affectionately called him daddy. He was a loving son, brother and a good friend to many. Brandon attended Henry Clay High School and graduated from Whitney Young Job Corps and earned his GED in 1993. He was employed at Lexmark for 19 years as a material handler. That was his life. Drive to work no faster than 25-27 mph and back from work at 23 mph. Life partner Vickie said that she never worried about getting something to him that he may had left before leaving for work. She could always catch him to get it to him because he was either still in the driveway or inching to the corner stop sign which is 2 houses down. Nonetheless, Brandon was a very cautious driver. If he ever rode with someone, he would steadily brake from the passenger seat stomping the imaginary brakes on the floorboard. His driving demands included “Seatbelts, Hook em’ up!” “Your seat belt on?” He NEVER exceeded the speed limit. Anything over 35 mph was speeding! Brandon was an undercover comedian. He had a very dry sense of humor with a quick wit. He could come back at you with a one liner that would Will Smith smack you dead in the face and knock you into next week. Some to mention are “And What Else?” “ Whatchudoin?” “Whatchubout ready to do?” These remarks don’t sound funny, but it was Brandon’s amazing ability to deliver the line with perfect comedic timing and inflection. He also enjoyed listening to music and was a huge fan of the Kentucky Wildcats. He leaves to cherish his memory-parents Carolyn Garner & Daniel Napier, daughters Chante’ Douglas and Amaria Brady, grandsons Drayden and Drayson Douglas and one on the way (Amaria). Siblings, Jarred Napier, Stephen (Karen Owens), Hope (Jermaine Mitchell), Faith (De’Mon Jennings) Garner. Life partner of 13 years Vickie Hill and her daughter Ashley Hill. Nephews Jordan & Ryan (Aiyanna Blake) Garner & Jarel Fisher. Nieces Tyler, Briona and Nashae Garner. Great nieces, Kyan, Ryan, Spencer Garner, great nephews Kaisen Stewart and Hezekiah Garner. Aunts Shirley Garner, Cathy Rawlings and Edna (Rodger) Persley. Uncles John & Keller Garner Jr., and Chris Napier. Cousins Donald Garner, Cassandra Garner (Chris) Gatewood, Alex & Chris Knowles, Michael (Seleana) Persley and Jade Garner. Honorary aunts Veronica Jackson and Charlotte Warren. Brandon was preceded in death by grandparents Keller & Nannie Morton Garner and Ruby Napier & Ernest Adams. Uncles Magallen “Spike” and Randall Napier and James Garner. Nephews Quadney & DaMauri Garner, and his brother of the soul Dondale Joseph Mitchell.
