Mrs. Yvonne Denning
March 19, 1949 - January 9, 2018
Yvonne Denning was born in Lexington, Kentucky on March 19, 1949 to the late Robert L. Burnette and Marie L. Howard. Affectionately known as “Tee-Tee,” she was the mother of Kenton Street. You could not go by her house without stopping to say “Hello,” waving, blowing your horn, having a meal or just sitting on the porch enjoying good conversation and letting the day go by. She opened her home and heart to all those who needed her. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family always had a place to call home. Tee-Tee accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Greater Liberty Baptist Church where she served as an usher and as a chef in the church’s culinary department. She is preceded in death by her husband and love of 40 years, James Denning, Sr.; two sisters, Veronica Bell and Vera Johnson; a brother, Mark Branham; a great-grandson, Kurwyn Kitchen; and traveling with her to Glory, her best friend Margaret Lillie Wright. Tee-Tee is survived by her large and loving family including three children, Donald (Angie Strode) Baker, Jr., Martin Burnette and Mattie (Donald) Mikesell; six grandchildren, Takilya, Dariesha (Paul), Shakiesha, Darryl, Jr., Thomas and Devin; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Cornell “Tony” (Michelle) Locke; four sisters, Erica James, Monique Branham, Sabrina Davis and Robin Smith; two god-sons, Demtrice and DeShea Searight; a special sister, Eloise Dawson; and her devoted K-9 companion, Nosey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
