Mr. Reginald Ternell Harris
June 8, 1966 - June 18, 2018
Reginald Ternell Harris was born on June 8, 1966 to the late Minister John Harris Sr. and Evangelist Rosie Harris in Chicago, Illinois. As a child, Reginald was educated at St. Stanislaus Elementary School, then he continued his studies at Oak Forest Christian Academy High School. There he excelled not only academically and spiritually, but also socially, while enjoying being an active part of the school choir and ensemble team. After graduating high school, he attended Trinity Christian College where he continued to grow a deeper relationship with the Lord along with cultivating his love for music, by becoming an active member of the college’s gospel choir, which allowed him to never lose sight of his love for God nor his love of music. After years of playing lead guitar, he began to pick up other instruments, taking special interest in the organ, and after only a few lessons, the Holy Ghost began to develop in him a natural gift. It was this gift that God blessed him with that was loved, nurtured and never misused, even up until the day the Lord called him home. Not only was he blessed with a love for the Lord and true passion for music with all it entails, but it shows in his loving family and friends who survive him, The Maestro. Left to cherish his memory is one brother, John Harris Jr.; one sister, Ursula Harris; three nieces; two nephews; one god-daughter, Dolores Kennedy; two special friends, Linda Kelly and Jessina Gilliam-Wiley; and a host of family and friends and saints.
