Pearlie Mae Givens, affectionately known as Big Granny by her grandchildren was born on November 11, 1943 in Mount Pleasant Tennesse to the late James and Alberta Smith West. They later moved to Kentucky. Pearlie was baptized at a early age and was a member of the old St. John's Baptist church she served as a Sunday school teacher and worked in the nursery. She attend the old Dunbar High School. Later in life she moved to Nebraska and took classes for child care. She loved working with children she had various jobs as a daycare worker and watching children in her home until her health felled her. She moved back to Kentucky to be with her family and friends. On April 13, 2022 she heard her Savior telling her to come on home. Other than her parents she was also preceded in death by a son Richard Warner and a sister Mary West. She leaves to cherish her memories three sons Eugene (Pamela) Warner of Hephzibah, GA. David Warner and Lamont Warner of SandyHook, Ky. One daughter Jeanette Carter . One nephew James West. Nineteen grandchildren and thirty-nine great grandchildren and twenty-one great-great grand children. Special friends Nellie Warner and Carolyn Smith and neighbors at the Ballard Place.
