Paul Wesley Bruton was born February 14, 1950 to the Raymond and Hattie Rogers Bruton in Clark County, KY. Paul accept Christ at an early a member of Broadway Christian Church, where he served as a deacon, teacher, and treasurer. He was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School. Paul served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his discharge, he joined the Winchester Fire Department and served as a firefighter and EMT for 28 years. He received several certificates, medal, and other recognitions during his tenure. Paul was a faithful member of Ismid Temple #110 Shriners of Lexington, KY OASIS, Heroines of Jerico, Royal Arch Mason as a Rank in Chapter, Bluegrass Consistory #46 Lexington, KY (GIG), Dorcas Chapter #29 Order of the Eastern Star, Hiram Lodge #7, Paris and Past Master of Mosaic Lodge # 25, Winchester. For the last seven years, Paul has been in a whirlwind love affair that only rivals the Obamas. He fell in love with and married Ms. Emma Gay. They were inseparable. She told him, “Only God can separate us through death.” Besides his loving wife, Paul leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Elizabeth Bruton, Victoria Gay, and Renita Gay; a son, Ricardo Hines; four grandsons, Jeremiah Wesley Bruton, Barry Bowman, Walter Hines, and Jonathan Hines; three Sisters, Stella Bruton, Mary Esther Higgins, and Delores Gay; a mother-in-law, Emma Ruth Dixon; a brother-in-law, Eugene Dixon; two sisters-in-law, Christine Blackford, and Mary Thompson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
