Mrs. Louise Angeline Miller Perkins
December 10, 1929 - November 12, 2015
Louise Angeline Miller Perkins was born December 10, 1929 to the late Clyde H. and Daisye A. Miller in Middlesboro, KY. Understanding the plan of salvation as explained at the Mt. Mariah Baptist Church, she accepted Christ as her Savior and maintained her commitment as she navigated through her teenage years from Middlesboro to Lexington. In Lexington, she united with Main Street Baptist Church. There she worked and worshipped for 40 years. She then joined and remained at the Historic Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church. In May 1947, she graduated from Lincoln High School; June 1948, graduated from West Kentucky Vocational Training School- Paducah, KY. While there she married the children’s father. To this union three loving children were born James Williams, Angela Jean, and Adrienne Deann. Her love for each of them knew no boundaries. She often said “Right, wrong or otherwise, they are mine.” She taught them to always think before acting – bad decisions call for extreme consequences, don’t forget who you are; and act like you’re somebody. Her “Mountain of Love” extended beyond her family to a number of adopted children. She felt that everyone should know about Jesus’ Amazing Grace. Dear to her heart were the Bonnie Johnson Circle and St. Paul Circle. She is preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Clyde H. Miller Jr.; one sister, Myra J Miller. She leaves cherish her memory her beloved children, James H. (Pamela) Perkins, Angela J. Perkins, and Adrienne S. Perkins; grandchildren, Damien Perkins, Rolanda Perkins, Xavier Perkins, and Adriel Perkins; great-grandchildren; Brittany Perkins and Travis Perkins; great-great- grandchildren, Jaden Perkins, Britton Perkins and Laudon Perkins, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends, a loving and faithful church family ex daughter in-law.
