Ms. JoAnn Bush Sullivan

JoAnn Bush Sullivan was born August 6, 1933 to the late Alice Keene and George Bush in Winchester, Kentucky and was raised in Detroit, Michigan. Ms. Sullivan accepted Christ at a young age and joined the Historic Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church. She later attended Unity Worship Center where she enjoyed hearing the Word of God being preached by her son, Pastor Stephen Lyons. She was a retired nurses assistant from the Lexington Country Place where she was a faithful employee for 20 years. Ms. Sullivan was a sweet, loving, God-fearing woman who took care of everyone. She was affectionately known as Granny and Granny G to her grandchildren and their friends. She is preceded in death by two daughters, Karen Sullivan and Sharon Sullivan; two grandchildren, Ladonna Perkins and Antonio Sullivan; two sisters, Mary Wright and Geneva Simmons; and a brother, James Bush. Granny G will be loving remembered by her six children, Donald (Judy) Sullivan, Jimmy Sullivan, Richard (Debra) Ford II, Jewel (Ernesto) Prescott, Kimberly (James) Curry, and Pastor Stephen (Miriam) Lyons; 14 grandchildren, Derrick Sullivan, Sharon White, Shonte (John) Sullivan-Heard, Jimmile McMulden, Jimmicole Roberts, Donale Sullivan, Richard Ford III, Latease (Earnest) Million, Anthony Petty, Rashon Petty, Aaron Allen, Jolisa Jones, Cearra Garner and Kendrick Curry; 41 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; special children, Marie Styles, Ushanda Starks, Lewis Higgins, Kristle Clark, Darren Clark and Stephanie Lane; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including special friends Alice Cox and Rudolph Burney.
