Mr James Russell “Bike” Warner

James “Bike” Russell Warner was born on October 21, 1939 to the late Mr. Shirley Warner, Sr. and Mrs. Fannie Logan Warner in Springfield, Kentucky. He passed away on April 18, 2021, after a brief illness. James’s focus was always his family, and he would commonly work multiple jobs to take care of them. He retired from the University of Kentucky’s Dietary Department after 34 years of service and 23 years at the Holiday Inn. He was a simple man who had a love for music and for the Kentucky Wildcats. He always had a smile for everyone that greeted him. Other than his parents, James was preceded in death by a son, James G. (Jimmy) Warner; a sister, Fannie Logan Young; and two brothers, Shirley (June) Warner, Jr. and George (Bill) Warner. James leaves to cherish his memories, a son, Kim Russell Warner; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Martha Warner, Nellie Warner, Sarah Warner and Margaret Mays; his brother, Charles (Rita) Warner; a sister-in-law, Lillian Warner of Louisville; Ky; a brother-in-law, Charles Leon Young of Springfield, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
