Mrs. Gloria "BoBo" Simpson Higgins

Gloria “BoBo” Simpson Higgins was born March 17, 1954 to Cora M. Simpson and the late Jesse Simpson. She was educated in Fayette County Schools and graduated from Old Dunbar High School. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She enjoyed the praise and worship while watching the annointing of God as her niece, Apostle Tabet Wilson, preached the Gospel. BoBo was the spark in the life of the Simpson family. Always on the go, always willing to do what she could for her family and friends. Even if she wasn’t sure how to do it, she would give it her all. BoBo is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “June” Higgins; son, Anthony Higgins; and four sisters, Elizabeth Ann Simpson, Mattie Simpson Ballard, Loretta Simpson, and Vicki Ingram. Besides her mother, BoBo leaves to cherish her memory a son, Antwan Higgins; five grandchildren, Sharod DeMarco Miller, Anthony Michael (Tanita) Sweat, Antwan Smith, Ahmad Smith, and Rasheed Smith; three great-grandchildren, Aiden, Carter and Mila Sweat; ten siblings, Mary Catherine (William “Cash”) Gibbs, Charles Steven Simpson, Dorothy Blackford, Linda (Calvin) Wilson, Jesse Lee (Rodney) Lyons, LeRoy Simpson, Marilyn Simpson, Daryl (Monica) Simpson, Jessica Simpson and Jesse Simpson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
