Geneva Simmons was born December 13, 1928 to the late George Bush and Alice Keene-Bush in Clark County, Kentucky and departed this life on Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age. She was a member of First Baptist Church Winchester, Kentucky. Geneva retired from Eastern State Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky after 28 years of service. She was a past president of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 204 and active member of the Allen Chapter No. 18 Order of Eastern Star. Her love for her family was evident in the way she cared for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Prior to her death, she enjoyed the company of her family and the leisure of retirement. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three of her sons, James, Robert, and William Lillard, her stepson Dr. R.M Simmons and sister Mary Wright. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted children Priscilla (Tony) Hughes, Carol Ann (Roy) Caywood, Ricky (Rochetta) Lillard, Fred (Gloria) Lillard, Albert (Wanda) Simmons; her stepchildren Ward Simmons, Charles Etta Simmons; her godson Ralph Miller; her 39 grandchildren; a host of great and great-great grandchildren; a sister, JoAnn Sullivan; a special niece, Connie Smith; her two best friends Ava White and Harriett Garrett; and an abundance of family and friends.
