Ms. Francine Stanhope Livingston
December 26, 1958 - December 17, 2017
Francine Stanhope Livingston was born on December 26, 1958 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Joyce Lee Livingston and Edward E. Montgomery. She departed this life and went to Glory on December 17, 2017. Francine accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, under the leadership of the late Pastor George H. Childs, Sr., and was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church for 51 years. At a very early age she revealed her gift of song and loved to sing, direct and minister in song to give God the glory. Her gift blessed many people over the years at weddings, funerals and other religious ceremonies. Francine graduated from Henry Clay High School in Lexington, KY in 1976 and attended Kentucky Votech (now Bluegrass Community & Technical College). She was employed by the Fayette County Public Schools for several years before illness forced her to retire in 2016. She also worked for Lexington Fayette Uurban County Government Parks and Recreation at the Dunbar Center for several years during the summer months where she loved working with the children and youth. “Frannie” (as close friends called her) also had a tremendous love for the children in the Aspendale neighborhood where she resided for many years. She will greatly be missed by many whose life she touched with her humor, honesty and tough love. She leaves to mourn her passing a loving son, Jamar Livingston; sister, Henrietta Livingston; two grandchildren, Jamyra and Jaleeyah Livingston; nephew, Darion Livingston; sisters/best friends, Marcina “Tene” Canada and Marguerite “Celeste” West; special aunt, Dora Sanford; and a host of friends and relations across the Commonwealth.
