Ms. France Marsue Morton

March 2, 1950 - January 6, 2018

Frances Marsue Morton was born on March 2, 1950 in Lancaster, Kentucky to the late Charlie Caldwell and Bessie Mae Tarrance. She walked into Glory on January 6, 2018 after a valiant battle with lung cancer. Frances came to Christ on January 1, 2013 at Avon Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky. Later she would become a member of Gethsemane Church of the Nazarene in Lexington, Kentucky. Frances believed family came first. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with great passion. She made sure to remember everyone’s birthday, to text or call on holidays to let family members know she was thinking about them! Frances was an avid Kentucky Wildcats Basketball fan!!! C-A-T-S Cats! Cats! Cats! She was a giver by nature, she wanted to make sure the people around her were okay. She was always willing to help in anyway she could. If she had it...you had it. She will truly be missed by those who came into her life. Frances was preceded in Glory by her brother, Donald Black. She leaves behind to honor her memory and beliefs, her children, Demetrius (Gordy) Overstreet, Nathaniel (Trina) Morton and Derrick (Natisha) Morton; her grandchildren, Yolanda Morton, Yaketa Lubitz Clark, Yvonne Morton, Nathaniel Morton, Jr., Taevon Morton, Takiyah Jones, Gordy Overstreet, Jr., Kiona Overstreet, Felicity Morton, Tariq Jones and Dontae Morton; her great-grandchildren, Muntoby Clayborn, Karter Morton and Jaida Morton; her sisters, Theresia “Sissy” Black-Foree, Linda Buchannan and Janet Penman; her brothers, Larry Adams and Cecil Arnold; sister-in-law, Jean Black; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
