Daija Delawn Boylston was born January 21, 1998 to Kinisha Miles and Jody Davenport in Flint, Michigan. Daija accepted Christ at an early age. She was a graduate of Bryan Station High School. She was an employee of Brinks. "The Baby" as she was affectionately called was the life of the party. She loved dancing and smiling showing off those dimples. You could find her the happiest when she was with ‘The Gang”, Vanessa, Tachiyla, Dezarae and Karee. Daija is preceded in death by her grandfathers, John Davenport, Gary Holliday and Harold Peterson; great grandmothers, Alpha Boylston and Ida Mae Willis; great grandfathers, Oscar Boylston; godfather, Mario Dixon; and a special brother, Vondre Smithers. Daija leaves to cherish her memory a loving mother Kinisha Miles (fiancée, Jesse Jackson), father Jody Davenport; two brothers, Jamerick Davenport; three sisters, Tachiyla Gibbs, Layla Miles and Skyler Miles; a step-brother, Jesse Jackson, Jr; grandfather, Calvin Boylston; grandmothers, Deborah Peterson and Delawn Holliday; great grandmother, Hattie Buggs; two nieces, Avai Smithers and Harlee Chenault; a godson, Dallon Evans; five uncles, Calvin (Contrena) Boylston, Lamondo (Kelly) Buggs, Ramun Holliday, Harold Peterson, Jr. and Dujuan Boylston; three aunts, Latrice Boylston, Thressra Davenport, Janeen (Luther) Evans; special cousins, Vanessa, Sachet, Dezarae, Deliah, Dujuan, Ebony, Taj, Kaleb, Darrell, Isaiah, Paris, Ramun, Jada, Cachet, and Shauna; special friends Sharra Jackson, Daija Parker, Aliyah Lyvers; and a host of great uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.
